Yamaha Unveils MGX Digital Mixer Series, URX Audio Interface Series, CC1 USB Controller

Hamamatsu, Japan — Yamaha Corporation has announced the new MGX Series digital mixing consoles, the URX Series audio interfaces, and the CC1 USB controller. Designed for corporate users looking to build sound systems for meetings and small-scale events, as well as creators engaged in a wide range of activities from music production to live streaming, this new product lineup delivers high-quality audio performance and a refined, efficient workflow.

By integrating with software products from group company Steinberg, as well as the widely used Stream Deck by Elgato and the live streaming software OBS Studio, Yamaha enables an unprecedented level of convenience and flexibility for creators around the world.

MGX Series, URX Series, and CC1 Overview

The MGX Series is a newly designed digital mixer that digitizes the mixing and control sections of the long-established and highly acclaimed MG Series, which has been regarded as an industry standard for many years. It features a built-in audio interface supporting 32-bit / 96 kHz multi-channel and multi-stream audio. While inheriting the high sound quality, versatility, and intuitive operability cultivated by the MG Series, the MGX Series has been newly engineered to meet the increasingly diverse needs of today’s market. The MGX16V and MGX12V models are equipped with an HDMI-USB video/audio interface function.

The URX Series is a professional-grade USB audio interface delivering class-leading audio performance, with support for 32-bit / 192 kHz, a dynamic range of 115 dB (input) / 125 dB (MAIN output), and ultra-low noise operation. It also incorporates mixing, routing, and signal processing functions equivalent to those of the MGX Series. The URX44V model additionally features an HDMI-USB video/audio interface function.

The CC1 USB Controller is a DAW controller compatible with Cubase / Nuendo, MixKey (*), and Avid Pro Tools™, featuring a 100 mm motorized, touch-sensitive fader with 10-bit resolution.

The 12 LCD keys on the upper section support operation of OS functions and a wide range of PC software through integration with Elgato’s Stream Deck app.

Support for the MGX Series (*) and URX Series (*) is planned in future updates.

Equipped with 12 LCD keys compatible with the Stream Deck app, the CC1 enables control of various software and hardware, including streaming software such as OBS Studio, making it highly adaptable to a wide range of production and live-streaming workflows.
