The ITOKI Tokyo Innovation Center “SYNQA” was established in 2012 as an open innovation facility that could nurture win-win relationships between the ITOKI CORPORATION and collaborating partners, and provide fertile ground for new businesses and growth. A Yamaha MRX7-D signal processor and DCP4V4S-US control panel units were installed in the TEAM LAB area on the second floor of the facility. We spoke with Mr. Kei Akiyama, manager of ICT Solution Development Office, Solution Development Dept. Group, R&D Division, and Mr. Akihiro Ikawa, manager of AV&ICT System East Japan Promotion Office to learn more about the facility and their decision to adopt Yamaha equipment for the audio installation.

London Design Festival 2017 (September 16th - 24th) sees the global launch of Tord Boontje’s new collection of chandelier and crystal lighting components, designed exclusively for Swarovski Crystal Palace in his 15th year of collaboration with Swarovski. The installation includes a highly innovative soundscape which was created in collaboration with sound artist Manabu Shimada and is presented via a surround sound system provided by Yamaha.

Igniting new systems in Singapore

The 10th edition of the Republic Cultural Centre’s Ignite music festival saw both the Singaporean debut of Nexo’s Geo M10 mid-size line array and the first outdoor use of Yamaha’s RIVAGE PM10 digital console. The two-day festival is part of the polytechnic’s educational programme and is organised by students and staff in subject areas including marketing, project and process management, lighting and audio engineering.
