A gifted trombonist, conductor, composer and arranger, world-renowned musician Wycliffe Gordon grew up in Waynesboro, Georgia in the United States. He was musically influenced at a young age by his father, Lucius Gordon, a classical pianist and teacher.

Dave Bishop began playing the recorder at 7 years of age, moving to the saxophone aged 10. At 11, Dave joined his first big band before joining the National Youth Jazz Orchestra at 13 where he enjoyed 11 years recording and performing throughout the World.
Joakim Bergsrønning is a young Norwegian saxophonist and clarinet player with a wealth of musical experience, particularly in popular music. Although still very young, Joakim has made his mark both as a soloist and as a member of a number of high profile big bands, horn sections and theatre orchestras. Working throughout Norway, Joakim also has experience working as a teacher, lecturer, composer and arranger.
Born in Austria in 1987, Simon Plötzender first began playing the trumpet and piano at age of nine.
