Since its release, the CL/QL series of digital mixing systems has continued to evolve through ongoing software updates. This release of Firmware Version 5.6 offers support for Neutrik's NA2-IO-DPRO Dante interface.
“There’s no doubt that the future within the Pro AV market is based on interoperability between different devices within an application. We have found the perfect partner with Yamaha to enable this feature for better ease of use and excited customer experience,” says Florian Frick, Product Manager for Neutrik.
With the recently added CL/QL firmware update version 5.6 Yamaha added this specific support for Neutrik’s new DANTE network device. The NA2-IO-DPRO is Neutrik’s small but powerful I/O solution to add more flexibility in a network setup for Line, MIC and AES signals.
Using the DPRO for example on a truss, is a convenient way to establish ambient miking with short cable runs and then remote control it via Yamaha CL/QL consoles is a real improvement for a Pro AV work environment.”
“Yamaha is delighted to have been able to integrate control of the NA2-IO-DPRO into the CL/QL series with the release of our V5.6 firmware,” says Motome Tanaka, Yamaha Manager, Marketing and Sales Group. "This collaboration further extends the options for CL/QL systems. In combination with the R series, customers can make their systems even more flexible."
In addition, support is now offered for NEXO’s NXAMP4x4MK2 and Yamaha’s PC Series controls, allowing for flexible system construction.
We at Yamaha will continue to listen to the opinions of our customers, and work to provide more flexible systems and comfortable mixing environments.
