Jurij Hladnik

Jurij Hladnik graduated in 1996 at the Music academy in Ljubljana in professor Alojz Zupan's class. In his class in 1999 Jurij Hladnik also finished his Master's degree.

While studying he participated in young musicians competitions, where he gained several first prizes. In 1998 he was bass clarinettist in Opera hause's orchestra and since 1999 he plays as solo clarinettist in Radio Symphony orchestra.

He performs also as soloist and chamber musician. Jurij Hladnik is also professor at Music high school in Celje where he has many successes with his pupils. He is also assistant at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana.

Yamaha clarinet impressed me with extremely precise mechanics, focused ton and very good intonation. The sound is beautiful and clear. It is very easy to find proper tuning in the orchestra.
