- *You cannot delete the preset sounds or increase sampling capacity.
(Please refer to page 80 of the TENORI-ON Manual "6. Samplings")
Q15:Can I perform real-time sampling with the TENORI-ON?
No. While using the sampling function on the TENORI-ON, you must first convert audio files to user voice files using the TENORI-ON User Voice Manager software provided, and then use SD memory cards to load them into your TENORI-ON as user voice files.
Q16:What file types (extensions) are compatible with the sampling function?
WAVE(.wav) and AIFF(.aif) files. Audio data formats supported are: 22.05kHz / 24kHz / 44.1kHz / 48kHz,8bit / 16bit,stereo / mono

Q18:Can I convert songs created on TENORI-ON to audio data?
You cannot convert songs created on TENORI-ON and stored on SD memory cards to audio data.
If you have a computer equipped with DAW software (e.g. Steinberg's "Cubase") and an audio interface, you can record the audio signal output from TENORI-ON and use it to create audio data.
Use the audio data recorded in your DAW software as material to create audio CDs (CD-DA), and compressed audio format data such as MP3 files etc.
Yamaha Corporation uses audio interfaces such as AUDIOGRAM3.
Please see the following for details.
- *Please be sure to check the environment of the personal computer you are using as an audio interface.
- *AUDIOGRAM 3 includes Cubase AI4 sound recording software.

Q19:How can I connect TENORI-ON to a personal computer via MIDI?
To use TENORI-ON with computer-based MIDI sequencing software, you must use a device called a "MIDI interface" to establish a MIDI connection between TENORI-ON and a personal computer.
*Use the DIN cable supplied (mini DIN<>DIN 5pin: female) to connect the mini-DIN jack on your TENORI-ON to a USB-MIDI interface, then connect the USB-MIDI interface to your personal computer.(Refer to page 4 of the TENORI-ON quick guide "Connecting the TENORI-ON to external devices," and page 7 of the TENORI-ON manual "Sending MIDI information from TENORI-ON to a personal computer.")
Yamaha Corporation offers the UX16 USB-MIDI interface. Please see the following for details.
*Be sure to check the operating environment of your personal computer (the personal computer you are using with the UX series).
To use the UX16, you will need to install the Yamaha USB-MIDI driver on your personal computer.
